Strength and Conditioning

The Strength and Conditioning program is a critical part of all our athlete scholarships. Our S&C program is delivered at the Peel Thunder Football Club gym by our highly experienced and accredited coaches.

Our sessions run at before and after school times from Monday to Friday, with athletes required to attended between 1 to 3 sessions per week depending upon their schedule, individual ability and need.

All our S&C programs start with an individual induction and movement assessment, which provides our coaches with valuable insights into our athlete's movement competency and levels of athleticism. The data collected here enables our coaches to tailor a strength and conditioning program specific to the individuals needs and level of ability.

Following this initial induction, athletes are booked into a regular schedule to attend their weekly strength and conditioning sessions.

Our strength and conditioning programs aim to develop well-rounded athletes, and include elements such as movement technique, strength, power, endurance and flexibility.

Over time, and as the athlete develops, the strength and conditioning program evolves in order to continuously challenge the athlete and drive performance. This is in part driven by regular testing to track athlete progress. This testing is performed using high performance equipment including the VALD Force Decks and Brower Timing Gates, ensuring the best quality data to derive athletic insights.
